House Rules

Dear guests,

our holiday home is intended to be your home away from home. We want you to feel comfortable, relax and enjoy your stay. We have put a great deal of care into furnishing the property and hope you will find everything you need.

The following house rules are intended to contribute to a pleasant stay. By treating the house with care, you help us ensure that we can continue to provide a comfortable accommodation for you and future guests.

Kitchen and inventory

If anything is missing from the furnishings or you need assistance, please feel free to contact us. All items in the holiday home, on the balcony and on the terraces may be used by our guests.

Please treat the furnishings, inventory and technical equipment with care and make sure that your fellow travellers also comply with the rental conditions.

Please return dishes, pots and cutlery to the cupboards only when clean and dry. Always use a trivet for hot pots and a chopping board for cutting. Please leave the oven and microwave in a clean condition.

Damage

If anything is damaged during your stay, please notify us immediately. This allows us to resolve the issue promptly and avoids damage being discovered only after your departure.

Within the framework of the applicable statutory and contractual provisions, the tenant is liable for damage caused and any necessary replacement costs.

Ventilation

To prevent moisture and mould, please ventilate all rooms sufficiently. Please air the rooms thoroughly at least once a day for approximately five to ten minutes, especially after showering.

Duty of care

Please treat the rental property with care and ensure that your fellow travellers also comply with the rental conditions.

The entrance door must generally be kept closed and locked with the key when leaving the house. Please also close all windows when leaving to prevent damage caused by severe weather or burglary.

Please use water and electricity responsibly.

Waste disposal

Household waste must be disposed of in the designated container at the entrance to the village. You will receive the corresponding key during the introduction.

Please always use a bin liner in the waste bins inside the house and do not place waste directly into the bins. Further information about local waste disposal will be provided upon arrival.

Cleaning

If an accident occurs, for example heavy soiling or spilled liquids, please clean it up as soon as possible.

Please leave the holiday home swept clean upon departure and return used dishes to the cupboards clean and dry.

Fishing clothing, fishing equipment and filleting station

  • Fishing clothing, fishing suits, rods, bait, cool boxes and other fishing equipment must be stored exclusively in the designated area in the basement. A coat rack is also available there for hanging clothing.
  • Fishing clothing and fishing equipment must not be taken into the living rooms or bedrooms.
  • In particular, fishing clothing must not be worn or placed on sofas, armchairs, beds or other furniture.
  • Fish may only be processed at the designated filleting station in the basement.
  • The filleting station, work surface and surrounding area must be thoroughly cleaned and left clean after every use.
  • Fish remains, scales, skin, entrails, bait remains and other solid materials must not enter the drain. The drain may only be used for water and normal washing water.
  • All fish and bait remains must be removed immediately after processing and disposed of in accordance with the procedure explained during the introduction. Disposal in the harbour or on the property is not permitted.
  • If additional cleaning is required or damage or odour nuisance occurs as a result of disregarding these rules, the actual and verifiable costs incurred will be charged. These costs may be offset against the deposit.

Quiet hours

In the interest of good neighbourly relations, please observe the customary local quiet hours. In particular, between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., please keep noise to a minimum both inside and outside the holiday home.

Internet and Wi-Fi

Use of the Wi-Fi connection with your own internet-enabled devices is free of charge for our guests.

Use is at your own responsibility. The applicable legal provisions and Wi-Fi usage rules must be observed. By signing the rental agreement, you also confirm your acceptance of these house rules.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the holiday home or guest house. Please use the outdoor areas only and dispose of cigarette remains properly.

Pets and rules for dogs

One pet may be brought by prior arrangement, for example a dog. Multiple pets are not permitted unless expressly agreed otherwise.

  • From 1 April to 1 November, dogs must always be kept on a leash outside the fenced property. This also applies on walking and hiking trails.
  • Within the fenced property, dogs may move freely under supervision. Please make sure that both gates remain closed.
  • Please take your dog outside the property whenever possible for toileting.
  • Dog waste must be completely removed everywhere and disposed of properly. If anything does happen on the property, it must be removed immediately.
  • Dogs are not allowed on beds, sofas, armchairs or other upholstered furniture. Please bring your own dog bed, blanket or other suitable sleeping surface.
  • Any necessary additional cleaning or damage caused will be charged based on the actual and verifiable costs incurred. These costs may be offset against the deposit.

Parking

Vehicles may be parked directly in front of the holiday home. The provision of a parking space does not constitute a custody agreement.

The landlord is liable for the loss of or damage to parked vehicles or their contents only within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions.

Right of access

In the event of urgently required repairs or to prevent damage, it may be necessary for the landlord or an authorised person to enter the holiday home. Where possible, guests will be informed in advance.

Keys

Please do not give the keys to unauthorised third parties. Any loss must be reported immediately. A fee of €50 will be charged for each lost key.

Liability

The landlord is liable for guests' valuables only within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions.

Arrival and departure

Arrival is generally possible between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Different arrival times require prior arrangement.

Departure must take place no later than 9:00 a.m., unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Upon departure, the holiday home must be completely vacated, swept clean and left in a proper condition.

Boat use

The boat is located in the harbour of Austrheim at berth 42 and is approved for a maximum of four persons. Before the first use, an introduction will be provided. These written instructions do not replace the personal introduction.

Before using the boat, please inform yourself about any licence requirements, applicable navigation rules, the weather and local waters. Submerged rocks and reefs can be difficult to see, especially with changing water levels.

Drive slowly if you are unsure about water depth, weather, wave conditions or the route. The safety of everyone on board always takes priority.

For preparation and navigation, we recommend the Norgeskart app. Life jackets are located in the bow and must be worn while the boat is underway.

The helm is covered with a protective cover. Remove the cover before use and store it carefully in the bow.

There are two storage compartments at the stern. In the right-hand compartment when facing the direction of travel, you will find the three-way valve for the fuel supply.

The two 25-litre fuel tanks are located beneath the helm and must be completely refilled before the boat is returned. To access the tanks, press the button below the helm between the two swivel seats and carefully tilt the helm forward.

The main switch is located on the outside of the compartment containing the three-way valve. Insert the corresponding key and turn it upwards.

Then trim the engine down using the trim switch and start it with the ignition key.

Check the cooling water stream before every trip. If it is not visible or is too weak, switch off the engine immediately and inform us to prevent damage.

Once the mooring lines have been released, you may depart. Throughout the harbour area, only walking speed is permitted in order to protect other boats.

By booking the holiday home, these house rules are deemed to be accepted.

Thank you for your attention. We wish you a pleasant stay, plenty of enjoyment, relaxation and recreation. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time.
